I'm amazed he lasted as long as he did. It might have been the Mayweather game plan as he said, but McGregor winning the first two rounds was more than I expected. Yes it was a mismatch, but there are professional boxers who've done worse against Mayweather.

it was awful, I wish I'd not bothered. McGregor punched like a girl, Froch early pointing out there was little power in his 'arm punches'. did make me laugh though every time they clinched and McGregor would rabbit punch the top of Mayweather's head. I'm not anti UFC, but last night showed up the different skill levels between the two sports be it technical and fitness

Lots of defensive MMA fans today. Perhaps you can help McGregor out.

If it was a glove punching competition the pikey McGregor would be a champ. His comedy amateurish stance was just sad to see.

He must have landed about two punches all night on a forty year old man who'd come out of retirement. He was dreadful.

Fairly obvious trajectory of a fight. McGregor goes for the KO, mayweather bats it away, McGregor punches himself out, mayweathers picks him off. No surprises whatsoever but McGregor did netter than I expected and in the process has guaranteed that his family will be rich for generations to come. For someone that a few years ago was struggling to make ends meet I'd call that a win

Surely the best indicator of that would have been for both fighters to be allowed to use the best skills of each of their respective sports? Wouldn't you have loved to see Mayweather take a kick to the head?

This just illustrated how poor MMA fighters actually are. The gulf in talent and fitness was embarrassing.

Thank FUCK this circus is behind us and no longer in the headlines 24/7.
I've seen nothing to suggest that any fit and committed fighter in the top 100 in the world at the weight wouldn't obliterate McGregor. Hats off to him for making the dough he's made, both of them I guess, but should never count as a fight on Mayweather's record.

As expected it was a total farce, completely pointless and a money making machine for the chosen few. We basically all wasted an hour watching a white man dance with a black man.
Next up, Stevie Wonder vs Ronnie O'Sullivan at snooker.

Sydney One of the Americans is an Irishman One is a former champion boxer with a 49-0 record and the other is probably the only mixed martial arts fighter anyone has heard of. It's a gimmick and hyped to all buggery but there was enough interest to generate hundreds of millions of dollars. Not sure it will lead to much cross sport stuff unless there are characters that the public want to see fight each other.

My Daughter had to explain to me what this fight was all about as I didn’t have a clue, seems to me it was just a couple of American pikeys who had conned the general public into watching(paying good money) to watch them belt the shit out of each other.
There are some mugs around, just pop down to your local traveller’s site if this sort of stuff tickles your fancy or you like pikey sports…………..
I fucking hate pikeys.

McGregor probably was in the best shape of his life. I haven't watched a great deal of MMA but what has struck me about the fights i have seen is the amount of recovery time both fighters tend to to take in the rounds. Boxing is much more of an endurance sport compared to MMA which seems more about short explosive bursts.

It was always an exhibition match Floyd for his last big pay day and a bank buster for Connor!..U know they and there management team were rubbing their hands together salivating on how much money they could fleece out of everyone!
How could anyone actually take it seriously!!

Embarrassing that Connor gassed after 4 rounds, what happened to the 'best shape of his life'? FMJ barely broke sweat.
Connor fell awkwardly in between going for the KO and being cagey.
Guess I'm the fool for paying the money to watch it.
